Before Arrival (for Freshmen)

Congratulations on your admission to UST and welcome to Korea!

To enter into Korea, you have to apply and get your student visa. Read below information thoroughly for your smooth visa application.

What type of visa should you get?

  • D-2 visa is required (Student visa)

How to apply for the visa

  • You should get your student visa prior to enter Korea from the Embassy of Korea in your country. (List of overseas Korean embassies)
  • If you are from a country that does not have diplomatic relations with Korea, you should counsel the matter with a UST staff in charge of visa directly. (Find the staff Here)

What documents should you get and from where?

  • The list of document required by each Embassy can vary due to certain circumstances. It is applicant’s responsibility to check with the visa application requirements, however, below is the generally asked documents for your reference.
  • Application form (available at each Embassy’s webpage)
  • A copy of passport as well as a physical passport
  • A photo (taken within the last 6 months, 3.5cm*4.5cm, white background)
  • Certificate of Admission (sent to your email directly once you complete your admission registration)
  • UST Business Registration (sent to your email directly once you complete your admission registration)
  • Certificate of Financial Support (sent to your email directly once you complete your admission registration)
