This major covers radiation generators and industrial application of radiation for medicine, biology, chemistry, materials, process, etc. and consists of two sub-majors in Radiation Life Science and Accelerators and Quantum Beams. The sub-major Radiation Life Science provides basic and applied research curriculums for analysis of living organisms in response to radiation and for development of novel bio-molecules using radiation and radioisotope-based technologies, respectively. Accelerators and Quantum Beams provides curriculums on particle beams, optics, radiation, plasma, etc. to develop innovative quantum beams.
‘Accelerators and Quantum Beams’ aims to develop innovative quantum beams applicable to material study, medical diagnosis and treatmen, and defense based on accelerators and lasers. It will provide advaned educations on particle beams, optics, radiations and plasmas with professional training for its applications
