The electrical energy & materials engineering major aims to foster talent with convergence knowledge of energy conversion and electro-functional materials. Through this, we aim to lead revolution of the electric industry by developing electric propulsion and high efficiency rotors for advancement of technology in the ship and motor industries, and to lead the revitalization of the fourth industry by developing energy storage/conversion materials and nano-electro-functional materials.
Electro-functional materials engineering department provides the wide knowledge of the fundamentals of materials engineering, nano-materials and 3D printed electronics, and energy storage and conversion material technologies for perspective students. In the fields of material engineering, students acquire basic knowledge that must be understood in material engineering design, including introduction to material science, thermodynamics, analytical chemistry, and device analysis. In a field of nano materials and 3D printing Printed electronics, students acquire nano and soft electronic materials, and designs electrical and electronic materials and devices based on theoretical knowledge of nano carbon materials, 2D nano materials, 3D printing materials, and semiconductor nano materials. In the field of energy storage and conversion materials, students acquire the knowledge of battery technologies that store electrical energy and energy conversion materials that convey other energy into electrical energy on a purpose of improvement of education and research.
